On Tuesday night, October 22, 2024 CPD Officers responded to a residence on Maple Street initially for a possible drug overdose. Upon arrival, Officers encountered a subject attempting to dispose of suspected narcotics while being physically aggressive with a female inside the home.
David Jameson, 47, of Columbia was charged with assault 4th degree (domestic violence), resisting arrest, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance (heroin). He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
CPD Officer Chris Tweedy made the arrest. He was assisted on scene by Officers Elliot Smith and Jay Wilson.
