Congratulations to Adair Co. Middle School FBLA

Congratulations to Adair Co. Middle School FBLA!

The Adair Co. Middle School Future Business Leaders of America chapter, which has only been an official chapter since late January, attended the Kentucky FBLA Middle Level State Leadership Conference at Somerset Community College on March 12, 2025.

ACMS students racked up an impressive 14 First Place finishes, 3 Second Place finishes, and a total of 19 qualifications to attend and compete at the FBLA Middle School & High School National Leadership Conference this summer in California. In addition, ACMS Sixth Grade Reading Teacher and FBLA advisor Julie Burton was named Kentucky's Outstanding Middle School Advisor of the Year!

Burton says, "First, I have to say that the students that make up the ACMS chapter of FBLA, are nothing short of amazing!

These kids showed up and showed out today, mind you, this chapter is brand new! We became an official chapter on January 29, 2025. With the State conference already on the horizon we didn't intend to compete, but thankfully Mr. JR Thompson encouraged me to sign them up and Go For It! All of this to say, these 28 kids had less than 3 weeks to prepare for today, and just wait until you scroll down and see what we brought home!"

ACMS students participating included Maria Burton, Delcie Burton, Cyndi Case, Milly Thompson, Jordyn Davis, Emily Burkhardt, Lea Young, Olivia Jenkins, Anne Riley Corbin, Harper Martin, Ava Loy, Raelee Turner, Mia Stephens, Ava Harrison, Konnor Houchens, Bodie Lewis, Hayes Burton, Greyson Dudley, Greyson Wells, Eli Iqbal, Kevin Murphy, Jace McMinoway, Nash Collins, Bowen Furkin, Cole Stockton, George Willis, Bentley Petty, and Colton Grant.
