SOMERSET, Ky. (April 6, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 8 advises motorists that the KY 90 bridge (mile point 14.1) over the Cumberland River in Burkesville will be temporarily reduced to one lane this week as crews perform a routine bridge inspection.
The lane closure is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, and Wednesday, April 8, from approximately 8 a.m. CT until 6 p.m. CT each day. Both lanes will reopen during overnight hours.
Traffic will be controlled by flaggers.
The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen delays. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
