This morning about 10:30 Jamestown Fire Department members were dispatched to the report of a wheat field on fire on the 127 Bypass and Hwy 92. First units O/S found a fast moving fire. Engine 3, Tanker 62, and Brush 5 made a quick stop, burning about 5 acres. Fire was caused by a hay baler. Quick thinking of equipment operator dumping roll bale and others moving tractors and combine stopped damage to other equipment. Jamestown had 12 firefighters O/S for just over an hour.
