The City of Russell Springs Water Department has issued a Boil Water Advisory for the following areas until further notice due to water line work:

• Highway 1870 from Tonkin Drive to the Adair County line

• Shepherd Drive

• A section of Rose Street

• A section of Gentry Mill Road

• All side roads within the affected area

Customers in these areas should bring all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or food preparation to a rolling boil for at least three (3) minutes before use.

The advisory will remain in effect until water quality testing confirms the water is safe for consumption. A notice will be issued when the advisory has been lifted.
