The Columbia Police Department responded to a local shopping center parking lot on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at approximately 6:30pmCT following a hit-and-run collision.
As a result of the investigation, 18-year-old Jimmy Reliford II, of Columbia, KY was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
- Wanton Endangerment – 1st Degree
- Criminal Mischief – 1st Degree
- Leaving the Scene of an Accident – Failure to Render Aid or Assistance
Columbia Police Officer Elliot Smith was the arresting officer and was assisted by members of the Columbia Police Department and the Adair County Sheriff’s Office.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
