Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones reports that the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a homicide on Lower Line Creek Road in eastern Pulaski County.
At 12:10amET on Wednesday morning, deputies responded to a welfare check on Lower Line Creek Road. Upon arrival, they found 70-year-old Sherri Mitko deceased inside the residence. A preliminary report indicates Mitko died from multiple gunshot wounds. An autopsy was performed on Wednesday morning in Frankfort.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, Detectives are pursuing several leads and have identified persons of interest.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Somerset-Pulaski County Emergency Medical Services and Pulaski County Animal Control due to dogs inside the residence.
