The Russell County Board of Education met Friday morning, Sept. 11, for a special-called meeting at the SEED Academy to address key district business and recognize outstanding local staff.
Meeting at 8:00 a.m., board members will vote on the approval of the school district's 2026–2027 property tax rates, establishing the fiscal framework for the current academic year.
During the session, the board also join the Russell County Education Association to present a certified employee recognition award to Jalena Bryant of Russell Springs Elementary School. The morning meeting includes two opportunities for public comments before adjournment.
