In a coordinated, multi-agency operation on September 25, 2026, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at the Shell Station located at 1014 Tennessee Road, resulting in three arrests and the seizure of cash and illicit drugs.
The joint task force brought together personnel from several local, state, and federal entities:
Clinton County Sheriff’s Office: Sheriff Ricky Marcum, Senior Deputy Rodney Shelton, Deputy Adam Hearld, Deputy (SRO) Mark Cormwell, and Special Deputies Ethan Daniels, Dave Finney, and Lucas Abner
Albany Police Department: Chief Mark Bell, Sergeant Rick Starns, and Officers Parker Hickman, Jim Guffey, and Kenny Johnson
Kentucky State Police: Troopers Brandon Poole and Seth Stockton
Federal/Special Agents: Agent Greg Bunch and ICE Agent A.J. Moore
During the search, officers recovered a substantial sum of U.S. currency along with large quantities of suspected narcotics.
Three Albany residents—Sachinkumar Patel, Narendrakumar Patel, and Kanubhai Patel—were arrested in connection with the raid. Each faces charges of Trafficking in Marijuana (Under 8 Ounces) and Engaging in Organized Crime.
Authorities state that the investigation remains ongoing. All suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
