COLUMBIA, Ky. (September 30, 2026) – Kentucky State Police, along with the Kentucky State Highway Department, will be closing a short portion of Jamestown Street (KY55) near KSP Post 15 tomorrow, October 1st at 6:00 P.M. Central Time for a candlelight vigil honoring the life of Trooper Hayden Phillips.
The road closure will occur on Jamestown Street at the Bomar Heights Street intersection, beside Speedway, down to the intersection of the 49 exit for the Cumberland Parkway. Motorist needing to reach Columbia, via the Cumberland Parkway, will need to utilize the 46 exit instead of the 49 exit. The roadway shutdown is anticipated to last approximately 2-3 hours.
