On Thursday, October 1, 2026, Adair County Sheriff's Office Deputies received information regarding the whereabouts of a wanted person in the community.
Deputies responded to an address on Overstreet Road where 29-year-old Jeremy Janes fled out of the residence and attempted to hide in a nearby wooded area. Janes was apprehended and arrested without incident by Deputy Ricky Shirley and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. Deputy Shirley was assisted by Sgt. Josh Durbin and Deputy Emily Wall.
