The City of Columbia had their monthly City Council Meeting on Monday.

They entered into a brief executive session pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(g). This is for discussions between a public agency and a representative of a business entity and discussions concerning a specific proposal, if open discussion would jeopardize the siting, retention, or upgrading of the business. No action was taken during executive session.

The City Council approved applying for a Kentucky League of Cities grant for City Police body cameras.

The City Council approved to proceed with a USDA Grant for technical equipment to be utilized by the Columbia Gas Department.

The Council voted to proceed with funding for an Economic Development Project for a gas project extension.

All council members were present with the exception of Mark Harris and Rhonda Loy. City Attorney Mike Harris was also not in attendance
