The Russell Springs City Council has called a special meeting for Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, to discuss prospective economic development opportunities and potential real property transactions.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. EST (5:30 p.m. CST).

According to the official agenda, council members will convene before entering into an executive session pursuant to Kentucky Revised Statute (KRS) 61.810(1)(b). The closed session will focus on deliberations regarding the possible acquisition or sale of real property tied to economic development activities, where open public discussion could potentially impact the market value of the property involved.

Following the executive session, the council is slated to return to open session for an economic development project discussion before adjourning.
