The Campbellsville Police Department is introducing its newest officer on four legs.

K-9 Cowboy and his handler, Officer Chris Milby, returned home last week after completing certification training in Tennessee. Cowboy is hitting the streets to aid in local drug enforcement efforts, while also serving in article searches and human tracking operations.

City officials highlighted that the addition of K-9 Cowboy comes at no cost to local taxpayers, thanks to full sponsorship from community businesses and organizations:

Taylor County ASAP

Don Franklin Auto of Campbellsville

Autosmart

Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home

Modern Care

Police expressed deep appreciation to the donors for their generous support in bringing Cowboy to the force.
