On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, the Adair County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to L. Willis Rd to a trespassing complaint. The suspect was located at a business within the area of the complaint. He admitted to taking a trail camera from the property and had the trail camera in his possession.
Christopher C. Belcher, 46, of Columbia was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on the following charges:
- Criminal Trespassing 3rd degree - 1st offense
- Theft by Unlawful Taking
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Trafficking in a Ccontrolled Ssubstance 1st degree (Methamphetamine) &
- Possession of Marijuana
The arrest was made by Sgt. Josh Durbin. He was assisted by Sheriff Gary Roy and Columbia Police Officer Trent Williams.
