The Kentucky State Police (KSP) announced Saturday the graduation of 40 new state troopers from the KSP Training Academy in Frankfort.

Members of Cadet Class 107 originally reported to the academy in May. Over the past 24 weeks, the recruits underwent rigorous academic instruction and intensive hands-on practical training designed to prepare them to serve communities across the Commonwealth.

Among the new troopers entering the field are six graduates assigned to KSP Post 15 in Columbia:

Austin Blakeman – Greensburg, Ky.

Adam Melson – Jamestown, Ky.

Maddox Mink – Somerset, Ky.

Zachary Smith – Campbellsville, Ky.

Seth Stockon – Albany, Ky.

Tristan Thomas – Somerset, Ky.

The new officers will now begin their duties safeguarding local residents within the Post 15 coverage area.

KSP is currently accepting applications for its upcoming Cadet Class 108. Individuals interested in pursuing a career as a Kentucky State Trooper can learn more and apply online at JoinKSP.com.
