Early voting numbers in the Commonwealth have seen a significant spike this election cycle, with 438,602 Kentuckians casting their ballots in person or via absentee voting through Saturday, according to figures released by Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams.
?The early turnout marks a nearly 30% jump compared to the last midterm election cycle in 2022, when 337,975 voters turned out prior to Election Day. The total also easily surpasses the 313,009 early and absentee votes cast during the 2023 gubernatorial election.
?State officials reported smooth operations across polling locations statewide throughout the three-day no-excuse early voting window. Secretary Adams noted that the substantial increase in early participation highlights a growing preference among Kentucky voters for expanded access options introduced in recent years.
?With early voting concluded on Saturday, Kentuckians who have not yet voted will cast their ballots on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. Polls will be open statewide from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.
