William “David” Wheeler, 73, of Liberty, KY passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at his home.
Born on May 11, 1944, in Liberty, KY, he was a son of the late Herbert and Gertrude Buis Wheeler. David was an Auto Body Repair technician. He enjoyed car shows, country music, dancing and spending time with his family.
Mr. Wheeler is survived by a daughter, Donna Copeland of Carmel, Indiana; two sons, John David (and Brandie) Wheeler and William Thomas Wheeler, both of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sisters, Mary Jo (and Tubby) Richardson of Yosemite and Vickie (and Jimmie) Lawhorn of Dunnville; the mother of his children, Lela Mae Carpenter; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two step-children, Alan Pendleton and Tina Pendleton; four step-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wheeler is predeceased by his wife, Linda Walls Wheeler; a daughter, Lisa Wheeler; three sisters, Ina Maupin, Joyce Carman and Brenda Sue Wheeler; two brothers, Buddy Wheeler and Thomas Merle Wheeler; and a grandchild, Ryan Thomas Wheeler.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00pmET on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. David Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 1:00pmET on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions of sympathy may be made to the funeral home to assist the family of Mr. Wheeler with funeral expenses.
