Deward Dean Davis, 84, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at the Liberty Care Center.
Born May 8, 1933, in Casey Co., KY, he was a son of the late Coy Henson Davis and Annie Mae Overstreet Davis. Mr. Davis was a retired truck driver, retired factory worker, and a member of the New Testament Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing Checkers.
Survivors include his son, Ronnie (and Sally) Davis of Liberty; daughters, Terri (and Bailey) Parsons of Thomasville, NC, Sherrie (and Danny) McNeely of Austin, IN, and Angela (and Mark) Nunn of Trinity, NC; brother, Larry Davis of Maysville, KY; sisters, Mildred Cochran of Liberty, Fay Woodrum of Cincinnati, OH, Carol Vaughn of Liberty, and Teresa Combs of Cincinnati, OH; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Jane Bolt Davis, who passed away on January 28, 2016; sister, Etwell Davis; and brothers, Calvert and Vernon Davis.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at the New Testament Baptist Church with Rev. George Pierce officiating. Visitation will be held after 1:00 PM at the Church on Saturday. Burial will be held privately at the Cold Springs Cemetery.
