Barbara (Burton) Pendleton, 77, of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana.
She was born January 22, 1940 in Columbia, KY. Her parents were Wesley and Bert (Dile) Burton. She married the late Norman Floyde Pendleton on August 6, 1955, in Columbia, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Norman Floyde Pendleton; 5 sisters, Beulah Sinclair, Fay Cowan, Mildred Burton, Exuria Goodin, and Millie Burton; and 4 brothers, Clayton, Fairley, Lester, and Van Burton.
Barbara is survived by her children, Phyllis (Jackie) Smith, Anita (Bryon) Eldridge, and Floyde (Sandy) Pendleton, all of Edinburgh; 3 grandchildren, Cassie (Isaiah) Sutt, Kyle and Zachary Pendleton, all of Edinburgh; and a brother, Buford (Alene) Burton of Edinburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a cook for more than 30 years at East Side Elementary in Edinburgh retiring in 2014. She was also employed at Edinburgh DQ for several years and baby sat for many years. She attended Jollity United Methodist Church and was a life time member of the Double Y Saddle Club.
Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 by Reverends Lewis Burton and James Hoppus at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh.
Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, November 6, at the church and Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of service.
Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
