Leon Robert Shelby, Jr, age 93, the son of the late Leon R. Shelby, Sr and Elizabeth Parker Shelby, was born April 5, 1924 in Owasso, Michigan, and departed this life on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in Campbellsville at his home. He was retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. He was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army. He was an avid fisherman, loved to travel and photography.

4 children: Sharon Boyd & husband Michael, Steve Shelby and Julie Powell all of Michigan and Roberta Oldfield of Richmond
Special friends: Raymond & Bunny Morris and Billy & Jean Wallace all of Campbellsville
9 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren
His furry companion "Buddy"
At the request of Mr. Shelby, cremation rites were honored by L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Michigan.
