Charlotte Faye Peterson Burton, age 79, died December 14, 2017. She was born on May 14, 1938, on Canaan Hollow Road in Erwin, TN as the youngest of eight children of Dove & Rettia Peterson.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Thelbert "Bert" Uion Burton. She was also preceded in death by 6 siblings.

3 grandchildren: Adam Burton (Jessica) of Louisville, KY; Andrew Burton of El Paso, TX; and Ashley Byrd (Derrick) of Johnson City, TN
3 Great-grandchildren: Reagan Lee, Riley Elizabeth and Uion Gregory
1 sister: Jackie Hill of Elizabethton, TN

Funeral service was held in Kingsport, TN on December 17, 2017.
Funeral service in Columbia, KY will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 2:00pmCT at Bearwallow United Methodist Church on Hwy. 206. Charlotte's son, Greg, will be the officiant with her grandchildren also participating.
Visitation: Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 from 1pm-2pmCT.
Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia.
