Howard Gale Bailey, 76, of Columbia, KY died Friday, January 5, 2018 at his home. He was born July 9, 1941, in Irvine, KY. He was preceded in death by his father, H.J. Bailey and a sister, Ada Abbott.
He retired from Columbia Utilities Commission in the Water Plant Operation, was a member of Russell Heights Baptist Church, where he played the piano for years, a member of the Singing Bailey Family and an accomplished musician, making music from any instrument. He served in the National Guard during the Vietnam Era.

2 grandsons – Trey and Tanner Garmon
1 great-granddaughter – Aubree Rey Garmon

Funeral service: Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Puteet and Bro. Vitis Bailey officiating
Burial: New Hope Cemetery
Visitation: Monday, January 8, 2018 after 4:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations of Gideon Bibles would be appreciated. These may be made at the funeral home. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
