Dallas Ray Holt, 71 of the Montpelier Community of Adair County, KY passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 12:29 AM at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY after several weeks illness. He was born on March 26, 1946 in the Montpelier community, the son of the late Jess Thomas & Lyda McGaha Holt.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Linda Holt and an infant Sarah Montress Holt, and by 2 grandchildren Justin Garrett Owens & Olivia Grace Owens.

3 sisters: Brenda Alexander of Columbia, KY; Mary Ann Wilson of Liberty, KY; Jean Callison of Dry Branch, Ga
3 Grandchildren: Joshua Chambers, Jacob Chambers & Wesley Owens
1 Great Grandchild: Park Jayce Owens
Mr. Holt had professed faith in Christ, was a construction worker, a Veteran of the Vietnam Era serving his country in the United States Army, member of the local VFW Post 6097, American Legion, DAV, NRA and was an avid hunter who enjoyed his Beagles.
Funeral service: Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018 at 11:00amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Clergy officiating Bro. Stanley Watson.
Interment: Haven Hill Cemetery with full military honors presented by the local VFW Post 6097.
Visitation: Tuesday, January 9, 2018 after 4:30pmCT.
