DONALD "CRANK" FARMER, 84, CAMPBELLSVILLE

 
Donald Cranston “Crank” Farmer, 84, the son of the late Elmer and Sudie Farmer was born Sunday, July 16, 1933 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Elizabethtown at the Hardin memorial Hospital. 
 
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: William and Milton Farmer.
 
He was a former employee of BP in Campbellsville and Big Johns in Marion County. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, having served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the VFW Post in Lebanon and the American Legion in Campbellsville and was of the Presbyterian Faith.
 
SURVIVORS:
Wife: Betty Jean Brown Farmer of Campbellsville
4 children: Christine Farmer of Maryland, Greg Veatch & wife Karen of North Carolina, DeWayne Veatch & wife Francine of Tennessee and Lisa Loy of Lebanon
6 grandchildren
0 great-grandchildren
Special friends: Mary Lou Stiens and family and a host of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and other relatives and friends
 
Funeral Service: Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Orr officiating
 
Entombment: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with full Military Honors by the Casey County Honor Guard
 
Visitation: 5-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home
 
L.R. Petty Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
