Obituaries

GERRIE PARKER, 77, CAMPBELLSVILLE

Gerrie Elizabeth (Kilby) Parker, 77, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on April 20, 1941 to Herlene (McGaha) Kilby and the late Lendolph Kilby.

She was the cherished wife of, and proud homemaker to, Harlin Parker, who preceded her in death on December 13, 2011.

She took pleasure in her work as a babysitter and childcare provider at ABC Daycare, and carried that love and compassion all the days of her life. Mrs. Parker had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Chapel Separate Baptist Church. Always artistic, she enjoyed creating colorful drawings and collecting teddy bears, but she was happiest and most content when she had a baby on her lap.

SURVIVORS: 5 children: Douglas Wayne Parker and wife Renee of South Carolina, Diana Lynn Lenington and husband Roger of Danville, Kim Knifley and husband Joe of Elk Horn, Amy Hicks and husband Carl of Campbellsville, and Renay Wethington and husband Mike of Campbellsville; her mother: Herlene Kilby of Campbellsville; 1 sister: Shirley Matney and husband Gene of Campbellsville; 2 brothers-in-law: Johnny Parker and wife Jean of Elk Horn, Ron Parker of Florida;  3 sisters-in-law: Betty Parker of Elk Horn, Patsy Riggs of Illinois, and Burma Wheeler of Campbellsville; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends

Special Thanks to all the staff at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab for their great care.

Funeral Service: Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Clay Wheeler and Bro. Raymond Atwood officiating

Interment: Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, 3441 Old Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY

Visitation: Wednesday, December 12, from 5:00-8:00 PM
