Kenneth M. Howard Jr., 71, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones in Columbia, KY on Friday, January 4, 2019.
Ken was born on July 10, 1947 in Albany KY at Maple Hill Hospital to Kenneth and Sue Howard.
He graduated from Clinton County High School in 1966, and then joined the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Germany for 4 years. After moving to Uniontown KY, Ken graduated from the Kentucky State Police Academy, and served as a Kentucky State Police Trooper for 3½ years. He and his family then moved to Louisville KY in 1975, where he began a career with the City of Louisville Arson Squad as an Arson Investigator, where he worked for 17½ years.
He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth M. Howard Sr.

3 grandchildren: Bryce, Sarah and Jake
Funeral Service: 7:00pmCT on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with a Candle Light Vigil to follow. Bro. Stanley Watson will officiate the ceremony. Ken’s Caregiver, Robert Hamlett, will talk briefly about Ken’s life. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ken's life.
