CLEO H. LAWHORN, 87, LIBERTY

 

Cleo Hershel Lawhorn, 87, of Liberty, KY passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Russell County Hospital. He was born in Columbia, KY on July 27th, 1931 a son of the late Alvin and Eliza Shell Lawhorn.

 

Cleo was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, former Deputy for Casey County Sheriff’s Department, former Police Office for Liberty Police Department and Hustonville Police Department and was the Night Watchman for Murphy Gate Co.

 

Survivors: Spouse: Versie Wethington Lawhorn; 2 Daughters: Deborah Brown and (Doug Swartz) of Rineyville, KY and Tammy and (Brent O.) Thomas of Liberty; 2 Grandchildren: Jeremy Thomas and Jessica and (Kyle) Long; 2 Great Grandchildren: Colt Long & Jordan Swartz

 

Preceding him in death (besides his parents)  were 2 Sisters: Della Holt and Ivy Lawhorn and 4 Brothers: Clifford, George, Charlie and Clyde Lawhorn.

 

Visitation: 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. Monday, January 21, 2019 and after 8:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Masonic Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening.

 

Funeral Service: 1:00 P.M. Tuesday January 22nd, 2019 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Kevin Williams, Bro. Hershel Lawhorn and Tommy Lawhorn officiating

 

Burial: South Fork Cemetery with Military Honors by Keavy D.A.V. Chapter 158
