Goldie O'neal Smith, 82, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Johnnie Cox and Nancy Hardwick Cox was born April 25, 1936 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 10:15 P.M., January 19, 2019 in Lebanon.
She professed faith in Christ and when she was able attended Mannsville United Methodist Church. Goldie was a social butterfly who always wanted to look her best and enjoyed dancing, country music and watching Westerns. She loved entertaining her family and was the life of the party. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Ladies Auxiliary at the American Legion.
She united in marriage to W. Paul Smith May 30, 1962. He preceded her in death October 2, 2013.
SURVIVORS: 1 son, Clifford Krider & wife Diane Foster; 3 granddaughters: Nicole Krider & husband Robby Scott and Natasha Krider of Louisville and Michelle Stubbs & husband Lee of Richmond; 3 great-grandchildren: Logan Porter Stubbs, Myah Paisley Stubbs and Lila Goldie Scott; 2 brothers & 1 sister: Keith Cox & wife Laura, Wendell Cox & Geraldine Parrish of Campbellsville; several nieces & nephews and many other relatives & friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Marlea Angelique “Angel” McCubbin, September 20, 2008 and three sisters and one brother: Jo Osborne, Thelma Borens, Hallie Ratliff and Mitchell Cox.
