Carl Edward “Hoss” Compton, 93, was born on March 3, 1926 in Green County, KY to the late Robert (Uncle Bob) and Hattie Vester Hazelwood Compton. He departed this life on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.
He made a profession of faith at an early age and was a member of the Mt. Union Baptist Church in Allendale, KY. Carl (Hoss) Compton retired from Kentucky Trailers in Louisville, KY. He loved to share stories with everyone, was well-known for sharing his love of music with his family and friends and liked to play the guitar and the harmonica. You would always either find him looking at his gospel shows or reading his Bible. He loved all his family.

Dr. Emmitt (Connie) Compton of Aurora, Illinois, Larry (Carolyn) Compton of Summersville, Steven (Mardena) Compton of Campbellsville, Carl Anthony Cowherd of Indianapolis, Ind., Zachary and David Hancock of Campbellsville, 30 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren

Visitation & wake: 5 p.m. CT until 8 p.m. CT Friday and after 7 a.m. CT Saturday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg
