Doris Jean Hadley, 83, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Nathan Rice and Mary Perkins Rice, was born December 1, 1935 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 2:42 P.M., Thursday, April 4, 2019 in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to James Hadley and he preceded her in death in 1996.
Doris Jean loved quilting and also enjoyed horse racing, going to the Kentucky Derby and UK basketball.
SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Billy Dudgeon & wife Peggy, Campbellsville, KY; Charles “Chat” Humphress & wife Debbie of Campbellsville, KY; 9 grandchildren: Christie Dudgeon, Amanda Vines, Jimmy Dudgeon, April Dudgeon, Jason Humphress, Jennifer Neagle, Jessica Watson, Stacey Porter and Michael Dudgeon; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Larry Rice of Morganton, North Carolina; Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Gerald Dudgeon and one sister, Christine Carney.
