Joe Birdwell, 70, of Columbia, KY died Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on the Louie B. Nunn (Cumberland) Parkway in Russell County. He was born September 19, 1949 in Russell County to the late James Earl & Jessie Marie George Birdwell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers: William, Phillip, David & James Birdwell and 1 sister, Eva Garner.
Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He sold produce and enjoyed fishing.

8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren & 1 expectant great-grandchild

Funeral Service: Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with burial in Freedom Cemetery
Visitation: After 5:00 P.M. Friday
Everyone attending the visitation or funeral service will be required to wear a mask.
