Aubrey Johnson, 93, of Jamestown, KY died Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Russell County Hospital. He was born January 20, 1927 in Russell County to the late Okle and Flora Gaskin Johnson.
Aubrey was employed by Russell County School District. He held various positions throughout his 31 years of employment. He taught Health & PE and was the basketball coach at Russell County High School, was principal at Jamestown Elementary and was Director of Transportation throughout his career. Aubrey went into cattle farming full time after his retirement. He was also a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Verta Johnson; 2 brothers: Glendo Johnson and a infant brother; and 3 sisters: Doris Aaron, Mary Morgan & Janis Aaron.
