CHARLENE SEXTON, 80, COLUMBIA, KY

 
Charlene Sexton, 80, of Columbia, KY died Sunday, October 4, 2020 at 1:20 A.M. at her home. She was born January 5, 1940 in Adair County to the late Robert and Alta Price Akin.
 
Charlene was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie C. Sexton; 3 brothers: Bobby, Dickey and Finley Akin; and 2 sisters: Audrey Calhoun and Genois Collins.
 
SURVIVORS:
1 son: Chris & wife Nan Cole of Columbia, KY
1 daughter: Marian & husband Tony Grant of Glensfork
1 brother: Dean and his wife Jane Akin of Versailles
3 sisters: Margie Williams, Flossie & husband Houston Price both of Columbia, KY;  Sheila & husband Steve McQueary of Louisville, KY
2 grandchildren: Ryan Cole and Chasity Dyer
2 great-grandchildren: Madison Cole and Lena Bell Dyer
Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
 
Funeral Service: Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home
 
Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery
 
Visitation: After 10:00 A.M. Tuesday
 
ALL ATTENDEES TO THE VISITATION AND/OR FUNERAL ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACIAL COVERING AND FOLLOW HEALTHY AT WORK GUIDELINES.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Hosparus of Green River or the Adair County Elementary School Family Resource Center.  These can be made at the funeral home.
