ELVIA DON BURTON, 77, COLUMB,IA KY

 

Elvia Don Burton, 77, of Columbia, KY died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at his residence.  Born in Columbia, KY he was the son of the late Forest and Elzada Streeval Burton.

 

Mr. Burton was the former owner and operator of Burton’s Tin Shop.

 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Gene Burton.

 

SURVIVORS:

Wife: Carol Burton of Columbia

3 children: Marty Burton (Rebecca) of Russell Springs, KY, Roxann Lawless (Mark Allen) of Jamestown, KY and Stacey Biggs (Craig) of Lucas, KY

4 grandchildren: Ashley Stearns, Marketta Lawless Mayner (Mason), Alex Biggs (Courtney) and Mason Biggs

3 great-grandchildren

7 siblings: Geneva Goodin, Clarice Pendleton, Rachel Pike, Tony Burton, Ronald Burton, Joe Burton and Dean Piercy

Several nieces and nephews 

His K-9 companion “Katie”

 

Private funeral services will be at 2:00pmCT on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Bearwallow Cemetery.  The funeral service will be live-streamed on the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home Facebook page.

 

Bro. Ralph Foster will be officiating and pallbearers will be Richie Melson, Mark Lawless, Craig Biggs, Alex Biggs, Mason Biggs and Mason Mayner.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Charities or the charity of your choice.
