Virginia “Sue” Bailey, 75, of Columbia, KY died Thursday, December 10, 2020 at T.J. Health Columbia. Born on January 19, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Finis and Fannie Curry Pendleton.
Sue was also preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Joyce Pendleton and a brother, Huston Pendleton.
Sue was a retired Social Worker and a member of the Bearwallow United Methodist Church. She was an original founder of the Bearwallow Cemetery Board and had served as church treasurer and historian for many years. She was also a member of the Happy Homemakers Club and devoted many years to genealogy; she thoroughly enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s baseball & softball games as well as spending time with all of her family.

Her husband of nearly 53 years: Jr. Bailey of Columbia
3 daughters: Joyce Nuckolls (Scotty), Jennifer Hardin (Kenny) and Jo Janes (Jeremy)
7 grandchildren and a 3-week old great grandson
1 sister & brother-in-law: Dorothy & Bill Bailey
Special niece: Beth Bailey
2 sisters-in-law: Irene Harmon & Julia Bailey
1 brother-in-law Danny Bailey (& wife Linda)
2 special people in her life: Cathy Shelton & Marilyn Janes
The public is welcome to attend a graveside service at 11:00amCT on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Bearwallow Cemetery with Rev. Troy Long and Rev. Jordan Abell officiating. For the health and respect of the family, please follow all rules for social distancing and everyone attending will be required to wear a mask or face covering.
Alternate expressions of sympathy may be left in the form of donations to the Bearwallow Cemetery Fund.
