Desmond Lee McGowan, 79, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born July 9, 1941 in Russell Springs, the son of the late Elvis Lee & Susie Tucker McGowan
Desmond was a member and trustee of Parksridge Church of God, a retired maintenance employee of Ford Motor Company, and a Veteran of the United States Army.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gene McGowan and a sister, Jackie Bailey.

1 great-granddaughter: Ava Hargis
Funeral Service: Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 1:00pmCT at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Billy Silverman officiating
Visitation: Saturday from 11:00am-1:00pmCT at the funeral home
Military honors will be performed by the Russell County Honor Guard.
