Nadean Wilson, 82, passed away peacefully at her home in the Font Hill Community of Russell Springs on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. She was born June 23, 1938 in Sunshine, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Farris and Zilma McQueary Popplewell.
Nadean was a lady of many talents. She loved to quilt and paint, and was a wonderful cook. Nadean was a member of Mt. Eden Missionary Baptist Church. She was lovingly known as “Mamaw” to all her family and friends that will dearly miss her.

1 daughter: Connie (and Russell) Duke of Russell Springs
3 brothers: Tommy Popplewell, Ola Popplewell, and Roy Popplewell, all of Russell Springs
1 sister: Meridth Hopper of Russell Springs
2 grandchildren: Ellie Anne Rooks (and Bobby) Flanagan and Isaac Jordan (and Taylor) Wilson, both of Russell Springs
6 great-grandchildren: Noah Christopher Flanagan, Julien Tate Flanagan, Remy Lincoln Flanagan, Emalynn Jane Flanagan, Alexis Marie Wilson, and Miles Jordon Wilson
In addition to her parents, Nadean was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Leonard Dewey Wilson, who passed away on August 27, 2018; three brothers; and a great-grandson, Leonard Gregory Wilson.
