HARRY ALLEN KIMBLER, 74, RUSSELL SPRINGS, KY


Harry Allen Kimbler, 74, was born on September 9, 1946 to Edgar and Ruby Roy Kimbler, both deceased. 

 

Harry loved and sang gospel music for many years with various groups such as: The Deliverance Quartet, The Rock of Ages Quartet, The Blakey Quartet and Pure Gospel. He was a member of Fairview Separate Baptist Church. Harry was also a former farmer, school bus driver and served as a Russell County School Board member. He was an organ (liver) recipient in 2005 and was blessed with nearly 16 years of extended life.

 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Jack Kimbler, Bobby Kimbler and Joe Kimbler and one deceased brother-in-law, Don Cook.
 

SURVIVORS:

His wife of 51 years: Delaine Miller Kimbler

2 children: Brent (Deana) Kimbler and Tanaya (Mark) McQueary

3 grandchildren: Devin (Kristina) Wilson, Brett Kimbler and Mallie McQueary

2 sisters: Faye (Al) Simpson and Delcia Cook, both of Louisville, KY

3 sisters-in-law: Lila Kimbler of Edmon, Oklahoma, Jewel Kimbler of Columbia, KY, and Gladys Kimbler of Shepherdsville, KY

His mother-in-law: Elizabeth Miller of Jamestown, KY

A host of nieces & nephews

 

Funeral Service: Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 2:00pmCT at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Baldwin, Bro. Devin Wilson, and Bro. Willard Bryant officiating

 

Burial: Wheat Cemetery

 

Visitation: After 10:00amCT on Wednesday at Bernard Funeral Home

 

Pallbearers: Brett Kimbler, Devin Wilson, Sean Cook, Doug Kimbler, Nick Kimbler, and Sam Baker. 

 

Honorary Pallbearers: David Hadley, Mark Kimbler, Rodney Simpson, Greg Kimber, Brad Kimbler, Scott Cooper, Scott Curry, Phil Miller, and Tim Baker. 

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wheat Cemetery Fund, c/o Elizabeth Miller, 4307 N. Hwy 55, Jamestown, KY 42629 or to the Freedom Cemetery Fund, c/o Valerie Taylor, 371 Freedom Church Road, Russell Springs, KY 42642.

 

Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs is in charge of the arrangements.
