Billie Sue Brown, 82, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at her home at 182 Woody Lane in Jamestown, KY. She was born on October 15, 1938 in Columbia, KY to the late Mary Beard Wolford and William Robert Wolford.
Billie Sue was saved at a young age and was a member of the Russell Springs Christian Church. She was an office manager for State Farm Insurance and a full-time loving mother to four children. Billie Sue was gentle and kind and had a most cheerful spirit. She was known for sending hundreds of hand-written cards to anyone she could find an address for. To those celebrating birthdays, graduations, promotions, weddings, babies and the occasional thank-you note, if you had been so kind as to do something special for her or someone she loved. She was the epitome of thoughtful and a good friend to many. Raising her family on Old Columbia Road, Billie Sue’s children had everything they needed and most of what they wanted. Billie Sue’s home was known to be welcoming, fun, and most importantly- loving. Billie Sue was an excellent mother and her children were blessed to have her.
Billie Sue Wolford and Nathan Jack Brown, III were united in marriage on May 19, 1957. They were married for 37 years and he preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Mark Allan Brown.
