Bobby Stephens, 85, of the Eli Community of Russell County, KY passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at his home. Bobby was born August 4, 1936 in Russell County, a son of the late Urias and Ora C. Stephens.
He worked as a welder for Arvin Muffler Plant in Indiana for many years, and later was master mechanic at the Ford Garage in Russell Springs. Bobby served 4 years as a Russell County Sheriff’s Deputy in the mid-seventies. He raised tobacco and farmed for years, and for a time, raised Tennessee Walking horses. After public work, Bobby ran his own mechanic shop at home.

4 sons: Robert Stephens of Newborn, Georgia, Bryan Todd Stephens & Mark Stephens both of Russell Springs, KY and Terry Dwayne Stephens of Eli
2 brothers: John Edward Stephens of Casey County and David Dale Stephens of Russell Springs
Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren
Along with his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Elizabeth Harris Stephens, who passed away June 5, 2020 and his daughters: Monica Stephens and Genia Stephens.
