Lena Cordelia Forrest Brockman, 91, of Columbia, KY died Thursday, December 23, 2021 at her residence. She was born September 3, 1930 in Taylor County, KY to the late Alfred Lee and Maggie Belle Leonard Forrest.
Mrs. Brockman was a member of Knifley Christian Church. She was a retired educator in the Adair County School System. She retired from Knifley Grade Center where she spent the majority of her 32 ½ year career. She began teaching in a one room school in Taylor County where she met her husband, William Aldus Brockman, whom she wed on December 22, 1950. Their marriage lasted 64 years until his death in March 2015.
Mrs. Brockman was a lifelong learner who enjoyed reading and traveling. Her influence will impact her students lives for many years to come. She was most proud of her family, loved her children and grandchildren and delighted in their accomplishments.

3 daughters: Janella (Carlos) Sullivan of Russell Springs, Inette Goodin of Columbia, Dr. Lavonne Brockman of Atlanta
2 sons: Dwain (Theresa) Brockman of Knifley, Neil (Angela) Brockman of Alabama
16 grandchildren & 20 great-grandchildren

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Brockman was preceded in death by a son, Aldus Lamar Brockman in June 2020, plus three sisters and four brothers, Martha Gabehart, Patsy Piercy, Emma Blanche Sanders, Alfred, Walter, Robert and Russell Forrest.
