CHARLES CURTIS "C.C." ROOKS, 82, FREETOWN, IN (ADAIR COUNTY NATIVE)

 
Charles Curtis “CC” Rooks, 82, of Freetown, Indiana, passed away January 30, 2022 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana In-Patient Facility in Columbus, Indiana. He was born June 30, 1939 in Columbia, KY, the son of Welby Lee Rooks and Myrtle “Rooks” Alley. 
 
He enjoyed gardening and working.
 
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Tyler Rooks and Welby Rooks, Jr, and 2 sisters: Cecile Burton and Ruth Burton.
 
SURVIVORS:
His wife: Ethel Mae “Roberts” Rooks 
6 children: Curtis Dale (Mariam) Rooks and Sherri (Cory) Smith both of Edinburgh, Indiana; Anthony Lee (Vicki) Rooks of Franklin, Indiana; Gary (Jerrie) Rooks and Eric (Rebecca) Rooks both of Columbus, Indiana; and Kim (Brandon) Martin of Brown County, Indiana
9 grandchildren & several great-grandchildren
3 brothers: Rollin Rooks and Gene Rooks (Polly) both of Edinburgh, Indiana and Avery Rooks of Columbia, KY 
1 sister: Ida Pearl Bryant of Franklin, Indiana
 
Funeral service: Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 1:00pmET at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana with Pastor Douglas Smith officiating
 
Visitation: After 10:00amET on Wednesday
 
Burial: Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana
