LOIS CAMPBELL TERRY, 92, NANCY, KY

Lois Campbell Terry, 92, of Nancy, KY passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. She was born on March 18, 1929 in Cains Store, a daughter of the late Herschel and Stella Irvine Campbell.

She worked many years as a seamstress for the Goodall-Palm Beach Company of Somerset. Lois was a member of Jenny’s Chapel Church. She raised 3 of her own children, then had a hand in raising many other children through the years. Each child was treated as her own. She was a strong willed and very supportive person. She loved music, sewing and cooking. Not only was she an animal lover, Lois was an animal rescuer and advocate. No one was allowed to even squash a bug in the house. You were to take it outside and free it instead. Lois was an over-35-year cancer survivor. After being diagnosed with the disease in 1985, Lois completely changed her diet and lifestyle to be more health conscious.

Along with her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Terry; 2 brothers: Glen Campbell and Emil Campbell; and her sister-in-law, Joyce Campbell.
