JANET SUE ABSHER JANES, 70, CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY

 

Janet Sue Absher Janes, 70, of Campbellsville, KY died Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her home. She was born May 13, 1951 in Adair County to the late James Absher and Martha Corbin Absher. 


Janet was a member of Pollard’s Chapel Church and a former employee of Fruit of the Loom where she retired in 1998 and was an employee of Learning Tree Daycare as a cook.

 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Janes and a granddaughter, Alaina Kay Adams. 

 

SURVIVORS:

2 daughters: Angie Adams (Mark) of Campbellsville, Ky and Schella Pittman (David) of Georgetown, Ky

3 brothers: James Jr. Absher and Joe Absher (Sue) both of Tennessee and Archie Absher (Beverly) of Campbellsville, Ky

1 sister: Emma Jewell (Don) of Glasgow, Ky

4 granddaughters: Kayla Adams Green (Toby), Danielle Adams Robinson (Matt), Shelby Pittman and Cali Pittman

1 great-grandchild due in October, 2022

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

 

Funeral Service: Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Phillips and Bro. Victor Matney officiating

 

Burial: Tarter’s Chapel Cemetery

 

Visitation: Aafter 5:00 P.M. Friday, March 18, 2022 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home

 

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
