Phyllis Popplewell Gosser Roy Meeks, 81, of the Ono community of Russell County, KY passed away at her home on Saturday, June 4, 2022. She was born on February 9, 1941 to Alonzo and Roxie Popplewell in Ono.
Phyllis was a teacher for 44 years as a reading specialist. She was a member of Ono Community Church and she loved the Lord with her whole heart.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her spouses: Richard Gosser, Ralph M. Roy, and Argle Meeks and 2 brothers: John and Curtis Popplewell.

2 children: Tammy Egnew (Ricky) and Alan Gosser (Mary Beth)
2 stepdaughters: Judy Goodin (Mark) and Sheila Meeks
4 grandchildren: Laura (Jason) Davidson, Lindsay (Taylor) Gibson, Dustin (Macey) Gosser, and Jared (Jacklyn) Gosser
1 step-granddaughter: Cassie (Bryant) Gregory
5 great-grandchildren: Connor and London Davidson, Scout and Boone Gibson, and Barrett Gosser
4 step-great-grandchildren: Valerie, Justin, Lilly, and Easton Gregory
4 siblings: Olene Popplewell, Carlus Popplewell (Pat), Irene Loy, and Jo Ann Bryant (Kenneth)
Funeral Service: Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 10:00amCT at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Davidson and Bro. Dustin Gosser officiating
Visitation: Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 5;00pm-8:00pmCT at Wilson Funeral Home
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ono Community Church Youth Fund or to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
