James Russell “Jim” Hamlett, Jr., 64, of Russell Springs, KY and a native of Mount Washington, KY passed away on Wednesday August 3, 2022 at the Russell County Hospital. He was born in Louisville, KY on September 18, 1957, a son of the late James Russell, Sr. and Barbara Curtsinger Hamlett.
He married Grace Beeson on May 22, 1982 in West Beauchel and the two had hardly left the other’s side in the 40 years since. Jim was a technical and computer genius; he loved carpentry work and could fix about anything in his shop behind the house. He loved to fish and he loved his church, Russell Springs Christian Church. Jim was an avid musician and could play the banjo, mandolin, guitar; anything with strings. Jim was a true “good ole country boy” and was proud to be an American; "if it was broke, he fixed it, if it needed to be done, it was done".
