Thelma Harper Miller Cundiff, 90, of Columbia, KY died Friday, September 2, 2022 at her daughter’s residence surrounded by her family. She was born on November 28, 1931 in Columbia, KY to the late Otha Miller and Anna Lewis Harper.
Thelma moved to Texas and lived with her loving aunt and uncle, John Burns and Julia Horton, from the age of 3 until she married.
She was a member of the Columbia United Methodist Church and formerly attended Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from the U.S. Federal Government after many years with the Selective Service and U.S. Forestry Service. Her compassion was well known to the families that had young family members going off to the Vietnam War. She was known as “Ma Ma Honey” to family and friends.

8 grandchildren: Brooke Walker (Cameron) of Columbia, KY, Brittany Watson (Steve) of Glasgow, KY, Sam Cundiff of Georgetown, KY, Riley Compton (Liz) of Louisville, KY, Brandy Bragg (Chuck) of Shepardsville, KY, Christopher Compton (Brittany), Marsha Graham (Patrick) and Josh Graham all of Campbellsville, KY
12 great grandchildren: Kelsi and Kenli Walker, Evan and Owen Compton, Kailey Garmon, Ashton, Brooklyn, Bentley, Alexis, Christian, Victoria and Kate Graham
1 sister-in-law: Peggy Miller Freeman of Campbellsville, KY
2 nieces: Sarah Jean Corbin and Suzanne Rogers
9 nephews (listed below as pallbearers)
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six siblings: Sam Miller, Don Miller, Otha Miller, Jr., Mary Welch Pickett, Billie Jo Miller Edwards and Julia Miller.
Funeral Service: 1:00pm Monday, September 5, 2022 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Davenport and Rev. Steve Pescosolido officiating
Burial: Columbia Cemetery
Visitation: Sunday from 4:00-8:00pm and Monday morning until time for the service
Pallbearers will be her nephews: Billy Burns Picket, Pat Miller, Tommy Edwards, Jeff Miller, Bradley Miller, Brannon Miller, Michael Miller, Mike Holmes and Maurice Holmes.
