JOHN NEAL WOOLDRIDGE, SR., 88, JAMESTOWN, KY


John Neal Wooldridge, Sr., 88, of Jamestown, KY passed away Saturday, October 23, 2022 at Russell County Hospital. Born February 26, 1934 in Sewellton, KY, he was a son of the late Frank Albert and Callie Russell Wooldridge.
 

Neal retired from the construction industry, having been a heavy equipment mechanic and supervisor. Neal started his career in Evansville, Indiana with Trayler Brothers. He retired from the Rogers Group in Bloomington, Indiana after 37 years of service. Neal was a 52-year Union Member of the Local 181 in Henderson, KY. He was also an Angus cattle farmer, enjoyed gardening and fishing, and loved old Western movies and grilling out. 
 

SURVIVORS:

His wife of 32 years: Cindy Hight Wooldridge of Jamestown

1 son: John (Marty) Wooldridge of Columbia, KY

1 daughter: Kathy (Denny) Burchett of Wadesville, Indiana

4 grandchildren: Dr. Adam (Kerry) Wooldridge of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Denee (Nick) Riley of Newburgh, Indiana, Ethan Wooldridge of Lexington, KY and Dillon Burchett of Evansville, Indiana

3 great-grandchildren: Beau Riley, Eli Wooldridge, and Micah Wooldridge

2 brothers: Vernon (Ruth) Wooldridge of Columbia, KY and Tom Wooldridge of Virginia

2 sisters: Margaret (Delbert) Pierce and Shirley (Victor) Cooper of Russell Springs, KY

Sister-in-law: Maudie Wooldridge of Stanford. 
 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Wooldridge; two brothers: Alfred Wooldridge and Larry Wooldridge; and a sister-in-law, Diane Wooldridge. 
 

Visitation: Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pmCT at Bernard Funeral Home

 

Funeral Service: Wednesday, October 26, 2022 to be held privately for family only at Bernard Funeral Home with Brother Richie Curtis officiating

 

Burial: Murray Cemetery

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
