PHYLLIS REEVES SMITH, 82, COLUMBIA, KY


Phyllis Reeves Smith, 83, of Columbia, KY died Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 12:45 A.M. at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was born May 24, 1939 in Adair County to the late Richmond Buford “Banty” and Alma Young Reeves. 

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Derby” Smith and three brothers: Earl Dean Holt, Paul Reeves and Glenn Reeves.

 

Phyllis was a member of Shiloh Christian Church and retired from Bank of Columbia after many years of service.

 

SURVIVORS:

2 sons: Steven Dale Conover (Pam) of Jamestown and Gary Cox Conover of Columbia

3 brothers: Louis Reeves (Nancy), Danny Reeves and Dennis Reeves (Reneé) all of Columbia

2 sisters: Mary Coffey of Glasgow and Carol Shaul of Columbia

1 grandson: Brett Jordan Conover of Somerset

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

 

Funeral Service: Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Young and Bro. Terry Shelley officiating

 

Burial: Shiloh Cemetery

 

Visitation: After 4:00 P.M. on Friday, January 27, 2023

 

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Shiloh Cemetery Fund.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

 

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
